Lori Vallow fell for these beliefs after becoming part of the Preparing a People movement. AVOW was the forum that everyone was discussing these doomsday beliefs and what the "visionaries" like Chad Daybell, Mike Stroud, Denver Snuffer, Julie Rowe, and more were teaching. Chad Daybell also convinced LDS members that Rexburg Idaho was the promised land. The "Safe Zone." These people instilled fear in their followers and convinced many that the end of days was here and they better be ready, But, in the end, there are still believers practicing this, in my opinion, nonsense.
